Today morning have a appointment with my academic adviser, Mr. See. He is a very nice person, I felt motivated after meeting him. I speak until more than one hour. At first, we talk about my result on last trimester, I told him I failed my English for Engineering. He don't believe that i failed my English, me myself also don't believe, I thought I can at least get a C. He told me I have to find someway to improve my English, English is very important, he then told me to meet him maybe once two weeks, we can talk about story books and movies to improve my English. I have start reading English story books every night before sleep and watch English movies without subtitles to improve my listening skill. I think now have no problem with listening , the biggest would be my writing skill and speaking. If I appear fail for my English for Engineering then I must somehow at least get a B as I going to retake this subject. Beside that, we also talk about the application on the math and the electronic component I learn last trimester. He ask my the application on capacitor and transistor, but I just don't remember about that. Then when he told me I only remember. He also told me something about the research he is working on now, share some of his ideals and told me innovation is very important. After that, he convince me to join more talk outside, this can improve my relationship with others outside, must ask something after talk not just sit there it is useless, improve your courage to approach them. Practice critical listening in class which I using every-time, I think UTAR should have WiFi at all the lecture hall, it helps when you suspect what the lecturer said is wrong then you can immediately search the web and see whether your suspect is correct or wrong and then decide whether to ask or not. Problems of UTAR, don't have the environment to speak English because mostly of student here are Chinese and speak Chinese. Problems of Asian, always think that European or American are stronger than us.
